Meet The Team

Miranda Taylor | Wellness Nurse Manager

RN | Registered Nurse

Miranda is a compassionate and dedicated registered nurse (RN) with over 10 years of experience in the medical field. She works with patients to understand their unique stories and health needs, creating personalized plans focusing on long-term wellness and vitality.

Miranda’s journey into nursing began with a desire to work with people and make a meaningful impact on their lives. She enjoys that nursing allows her to help others—putting them at ease, being there for them on their worst days, or celebrating with them on their best days. After working as a CNA in a hospital and observing the conventional system, often just putting “band-aids” on people’s problems, she now becomes a part of real healing at GutWell—addressing the root cause and helping people get healthy and feel better in the long term.

As the Wellness Nurse at GutWell, Miranda’s approach goes beyond treating symptoms by focusing on prevention, education, and empowering patients to take control of their health. She’s excited to help guide you on your wellness journey, whether that’s through weight loss, supplement support, or other individualized healthcare needs!

Nicole Freyschlag | Functional Nutritionist

MS | Master’s in Nutrition and Functional Medicine

Nicole is a functional nutritionist, which means she takes a science-based, patient-centered approach to achieving and maintaining excellent health through nutrition and lifestyle. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, functional nutrition looks at each individual’s unique story and health needs, offering evidence-based solutions tailored to their specific situation.

Before becoming a functional nutritionist, Nicole was a science teacher and has always been passionate about making complex topics understandable. Her goal is to educate and empower you to make informed decisions about your health by considering all aspects that contribute to your well-being—nutrition, sleep, stress management, exercise, and more.

Nicole’s journey into functional medicine started with her own health struggles. For over 15 years, she suffered from chronic stomach pain, and despite numerous visits to doctors, no one could figure out what was wrong. Frustrated with traditional medicine's inability to offer relief, she turned to functional medicine, which opened her eyes to a new way of looking at wellness and helped resolve her health issues. This experience sparked her passion for holistic care and inspired her to pursue nutrition and functional medicine. She can’t wait to hear your story and help guide you toward better health and vitality!
