Sue Mitchell, MD
I am passionate about bridging the gap between traditional and functional medicine. I have completed residencies in both internal medicine and gastroenterology with extensive coursework in functional medicine.
As a gastroenterologist with 26 years of experience, the emerging research regarding our gut microbiome and its role in health/disease fascinates me. I have a personal interest in cardiac wellness as I have significant heart disease in my family, and thus, prioritize heart health in my patients too.
I am certified in both Anti-Aging Medicine and Weight Management through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and completed advanced training in anti-aging, peptide management, and weight management through A4M. I also completed trainings in Gastroenterology and Cardiovascular Health through The Institute for Functional Medicine.
My approach to medicine is one that emphasizes whole body healing through microbiome healing. I will work with you to treat symptoms at the root cause.
